Unanimous vote gives UMWA Presidency to AMI’s Zac Morris in 2025
During the Upper Mississippi Waterway Association’s (UMWA) annual October meeting, our very own Zac Morris, a five-year member in the organization, was voted to be the next president on January 1st, 2025.
With a very productive year in their pocket, part of the meeting was spent discussing plans for the future investments of the groups time and resources. The main priority being the “preservation of the working river through education, support and outreach,” has always been at the groups focus, but now it seems they are in a position to expand even further on this aim, with further aid in fostering career and employment opportunities relating to the great river.
Commercial transportation is crucial for the country, offering significant benefits while facing challenges such as dredging issues. Continued support is essential as it provides a vital means of transportation through the heartland of the nation.
