AMI performed Level I and Level II/III inspections above and below the waterline of the steel pipe piling and bracing that support an enclosure for river barges at this facility.

Upon completion of the inspection, AMI summarized the results in a condition assessment report. The report includes pertinent pictures, drawings, and video clips of the present condition as well as recommendations and drawings of the preliminary repair options for the deteriorated piles.

One of the challenges of this project was that at the time of the inspection, the upper half of the piles were inaccessible by dive boat. Our solution was to utilize climbing equipment and rope ascenders for the inspections on the upper piles in order to give the most complete assessment to the client.
